Current special exhibitions in honour of Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller and Lothar Matthäus
The 2020/21 campaign was a landmark season, and three milestone birthdays of three extraordinary people also mean three special exhibitions for visitors to the FC Bayern Museum. Therefore, you can currently see “KAISER 75” in honour of Franz Beckenbauer, “Goals for Eternity. 75 years of Gerd Müller” and "IL GRANDE LOTHAR. World Cup winner, World Player of the Year, Record-breaker" around the life and work of Lothar Matthäus on his 60th birthday. Three specially designed exhibitions that shine a light on Beckenbauer, Müller and Lothar Matthäus, both as extraordinary footballers and people, and that go far beyond the pitch.
FC Bayern says thank you!
With all three exhibitions, FC Bayern Munich would like to congratulate and thank. While the focus in the “Bomber” exhibition lies on a wealth of newly researched data, facts and exciting stories about the still unrivalled goalscorer, in “KAISER 75” lovingly selected exhibits, an emotional film and anecdotes from numerous companions bring the sportsman and the person Franz Beckenbauer together to form an impressive overall picture. The main object and eye-catcher of the small exhibition "IL GRANDE LOTHAR" is the impressive World Player of the Year trophy from 1991. Beckenbauer and Matthäus, who made many of the exhibits available from his their collection, came to see the special exhibitions for themself. Their verdict was to come along and take a look!
The special exhibitions can be viewed until 30 December 2021 and are included in the Museum ticket.
