The Bavarian state government decided in January to extend the package of measures to contain the pandemic, which they had originally introduced on 3 December 2021. This means that professional sports events will all take place without spectators until at least 9 February 2022.
FC Bayern Munich's home match against RB Leipzig (5 February) in the Bundesliga must therefore be played behind closed doors at the Allianz Arena. The stadium will also remain closed to visitors on matchdays, with tours and sightseeing not being offered.
