After last year's Euros, the Allianz Arena will be the venue for an international highlight again this summer: On 7 June 2022, the Germany national team will play their home game in the UEFA Nations League against England in Munich. The game against the European runners-up will kick off on the Tuesday at 20:45 CEST.
"We're very pleased the German Football Association has chosen the Allianz Arena as the venue for this prestigious game. Encounters like Germany versus England inspire every football fan, they promise excitement and the best entertainment on the pitch," said Allianz Arena München Stadion GmbH managing director Jürgen Muth: "Twelve months ago, as a host of Euro 2020, we showed our stadium is the perfect setting for top-level international football. Of course, we hope the infection situation will allow us to hold this classic in front of a full crowd by the summer - it would be a worthy stage for such an encounter."
With the game against the Three Lions, the Allianz Arena - which opened in 2005 - will be home to a game involving the Germany men's national team for the 11th time. Last June, the team played all three of their Euro 2020 group-stage games in Munich. The Nations League premiere against France in September 2018 also took place at FC Bayern's home stadium.
Tickets are sold through the German Football Association (DFB), who will publish details on dfb.de before the start of sales.
