The German Football Association (DFB) has submitted its preliminary application documents for UEFA Women’s EURO 2029, in an important step on the way to being awarded the tournament in December. Munich with its Allianz Arena is among the potential host cities for the European Women's Championship in five years.

The comprehensive application dossier comprises 11 areas, including stadia, safety, sustainbility and finances. UEFA will examine the documents and give feedback for the final version by August 2025.
The central purpose of the DFB bid is reflected in the motto "Together WE Rise". The European Women's Championship is expected to achieve record economic results in order to invest in the long-term development and promotion of women's football throughout Europe and to strengthen it sustainably in all areas.

DFB president Bernd Neuendorf said: "I thank the members of the project team as well as all involved with the cities and the stadia for their dedicated work over the past months. The submitted bid book underlines our aspiration to strengthen women's football in Europe sustainably in all areas with the tournament. We want to welcome more than a million people to our stadia and make the UEFA Women's EURO an economic success."
DFB general secretary Heike Ullrich added: "The submission of the preliminary bid book is another milestone. We've worked intensively on its contents over recent months, internally within the DFB project team and together with our strong partners from the cities and stadium operators. We've been able to comprehensively pull together the required data in the various areas and thereby underpin our vision with concrete and numerous measures. The preliminary bid book is now the basis for us to make our application even better in the coming months, in collaboration with UEFA and our bidding partners."
