Stage instead of turf! The Allianz Arena in spectacular concert mode

From 26 May, experience the Arena architecture without any grass as the surface is transformed into an event stage

During the upcoming concert series, the hallowed turf will temporarily make way for a big show stage – an exciting opportunity for all visitors!

Those who visit the Allianz Arena in the weeks ahead will see a new, fascinating side to our stadium. Where lush grass usually dominates, the stadium’s impressive scale and architectural grandeur are now all the more evident.

Without the pitch, the towering construction of the stands and the sheer size of the inner space is brought into even sharper focus – a sight that’s normally only reserves for global stars during soundcheck.

Why is the turf not laid?

To ensure that the complex concert productions can be carried out safely and efficiently, the grass must remain removed throughout the entire concert period. This ensures that the stage, technical equipment, audience areas and safety measures can be optimally prepared.
